Der Ober hat dann gefragt ob Klein oder Groß. Ich habe gesagt, wenn diese Wahl besteht, dann bitte Groß und er kam dann mit einem Maßkrug - gut eingeschenkt - daher...

The stone rail of the foreground with its golden light is something to remember from Venice.

Happy Wednesday.
Keep well and safe my friend. Have a good day.
How I would love to visit Venice again! I was there when I was 21 yrs old and that day it was raining and miserable, and as I was on this trip by myself on a group tour, it happened to be the day I was so homesick that I had to cry because I missed my parents and brothers so much. It was about 14 days into my 28 day trip all over Europe--what a whirlwind!!--and I was worn out and lonely. But I soldiered on and perked up after feeling blue for an hour or two. I long to go back to all the places we flew through at a break-neck pace. I have managed to visit Rome again and that was just wonderful! Steve and I hope to take several 6-month trips to see Europe properly, but not before Covid's figured out, and then we'll have to get Pumpkin's passport figured out so we can have her with us on these adventures! :)
STAY SAFE and thank you for the memories! Oh, I almost forgot to say--even though Venice was dreary and stank of sewage, and omg the PIGEONS!! I never saw so many in my life!! (Florence was really bad too)...I loved the city and it's "Dungeons and Dragons" appearance with tiny streets and wonderful architecture. How lovely that you've had the chance to visit!
