Wollongong harbour

Wollongong harbour
Wollongong is the only place in the east of Australia with two lighthouses located in close proximity of each other. It was once a major coal port and the old smaller breakwater light now is National Heritage listed and operated from 1872 to 1974. The newer Wollongong Head light came into operation in 1937 and is the major light for the nearby port of Port Kembla.

Another week gone, so I'll wish everyone a Happy Fence Friday and a great weekend to follow.

Yes indeed, Isabel, this was taken under the Norfolk Island Pines in my previous image. More about the species here.
