A Flight Feather From Pumpkin!

A Flight Feather From Pumpkin!
One picture above in a note! :)

Steve and I collect Pumpkin's feathers and keep them in a special bag which we enjoy looking at every once in a while. Every one of her feathers is exceptionally beautiful, especially when light shines on them just right. I took this picture yesterday but just before I uploaded it, I realized that it really needed some texture to add some depth and interest. (See the original above as an inset) Do you disagree? I'd be interested to hear your opinion as to which picture you prefer. It's amazing to me how much interest a texture can bring to an image, to change it from a bit lackluster to something much cooler! :) The texture I used was Jerry Jone's, "Aborigine" .

Sylvain Wiart, Zefira, AdamRaphael Zilberman, Lebojo and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

A difficult decision because on our computer we can't get the bottom of the inset so miss the reflection and there's the usual problem I have of liking them both in different ways. I think your reason for adding a texture is very important. I see so many where textures are added as a routine and generally I think those spoil the photo. But not in this case. I think they both have their own strengths.

texture... final answer! remember it's early here so I thought you said "pumpkin feather" not "pumpkins feather" go figure the pumpkins in Canada do not have feathers... they have green stems that turn brown when they are ripe or picked!
