4 more pictures and a text notes above!

They say that three time's a charm, and today was my third attempt to get pictures of the little pink flowers that are growing in our meadow! I was distracted along the way by lots of beautiful subjects... thistle fluff... extremely rare, nearly pure-white Moth Mullein... a big fly... but I would not allow anything else to take Picture of the Day! It was very breezy out, but not nearly so bad as yesterday, and I enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of different pink blossoms. I discovered they are called "willowherb" and more specifically, Threadstem Fireweed, named for its penchant for growing where fires have been. In our case, it's just dry as a bone around here! :) I have two other views of this tiny beauty, I hope you like them! :)

Sir David Paradine Frost, OBE (7 April 1939 – 31 August 2013) was an English journalist, comedian, writer, media personality and television host. After graduating from Cambridge University, Frost rose to prominence in the UK when he was chosen to host the satirical programme That Was the Week That Was in 1962. His success on this show led to work as a host on US television. He became known for his television interviews with senior political figures, among them The Nixon Interviews with former United States President Richard Nixon in 1977, which were adapted into a stage play and film. Beautiful macro Janet. Took ages to load this as I'm away and intermittent unreliable Internet.

Hate to break the husband secret oath but I disagree with Steve. Although a photo I would proudly hang on the wall your pick was righter. Don't tell Steve I broke the oath o.k.
