96/365: "It is better to travel well than to arrive." ~ Buddha
I got up at 7:30am today and headed off to the airport for my 10:00am flight to San Francisco. I took a picture of the plane as it sat...grounded...while San Francisco stopped all incoming flights for two hours due to visibility. I don't know when I've been on a flight that wasn't delayed or cancelled! It's been years! However, the plane eventually got clearance and I met my dad at the airport, hooray!
I mentioned that I don't have my Mark II with me on this trip, and instead am using my older camera, the Canon SX30 IS. It's so WEIRD using this little camera!! I've taken countless thousands of pictures with it and now that I've used my Mark II for over a year, it's pretty painful in comparison. I think I might do a collage each day to show some of the pretty/cool things I find, and this will make it easier for me to deal with the abysmal dof/bokeh this camera has. Granted, it's really a GREAT camera, but I've gotten used to a dedicated macro lens and this little camera may just make me cry real tears...lol...
In my dad's backyard are bunches of gorgeous Calla Lilies, so I took a few pictures to share to finish off this collage. I'm pretty wiped out and had a hard time getting hooked up to the internet, so I'm happy that I at least got something to share today! I hope you guys are ok with this odd combination of pictures!! :D
Gautama Buddha or Siddhārtha Gautama Buddha, also called Sakyamuni, was a sage from the ancient Shakya republic, on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. He is also referred to as "the Buddha" or simply as "Buddha." Wikipedia: Buddha
