Der Münsterbrunnen in Villingen
Der Münsterbrunnen in Villingen wurde von dem Schonacher Künstler in den Jahren 1986 - 1989 als Aufragsarbeit der Stadt geschaffen. Auf einer 8eckigen Basis befindet sich ein turmartiger Aufbau, der die 1000jährige Geschichte der Stadt Villingen in Wort und Bild beschreibt.dabei sprudelt das Wasser nicht in Kaskaden, sondern in zarten Strahlen aus vielen Öffnungen. Jeder der acht Seiten des Kunstwerks ist einer anderen, für die Stadt wichtigen Epoche gewidmet. Das Lesen der Texte macht allerdings viel Mühe; gerade bei leichtem Nieselregen verliert man schon die Lust, sich bis zum Ende durchzukämpfen.

i think sometimes art like this is not meant to be read like a book, instead one dips in to catch a piece of it to take in with the visual.

i totally love this. what a great concept and excellent execution by the artist.
you've really shown it off well here, nice to group the different sides together as you have.
i can't tell how tall it is - at first i thought it must be very tall, but now i think it isn't?
