St Day (roofless) old parish church

St Day (roofless) old parish church
An impressive ruin and still a landmark for miles around as St Day sits on a slight rise.
I quite like this wall too!

These gothic spires indeed certainly serve as a landmark. The church must have been admirable in its time. And the old wall may well be contemporary with it!
Great catch, Andy; have a great week!

Thank you, Rosa. It's a shame that shoddy construction in the 1820s has now left it with no roof. But the attractive shell will be preserved and the open space inside houses some interesting exhibitions each summer.

+++Pleased you all like this. It IS an idiosyncratic church and it is much loved, even thought it has been de-commisioned for decades (the grounds are still hallowed and burials still take place there).+++
