Hi Daniela and thank you. Actually it is as far from the sea as it is possiboe to get in Spain. Madrid is right in the centre of the country and has a continental, not maritime climate!

They are the first Tararysk trees I have ever seen. I don't recall seeing them before, either in England or Spain! That is why I had no idea what the tree was!!!!

Abundant in Flower Andy, I typed in "Taray" which directed me back to Tamarix-gallica in English.
