A sunny day before the Calima struck again (another dust / sand cloud from the Sahara), rendering photo opps a zero these past few days and expected to last a few more days. I gather France has got it too.

Nice, fat blossoms. Sahara sand storms! How exotic, Andy. Does it come rolling in like a gigantic ocean wave, or is it more like a general haze? Yellow or reddish?

General haze. Sometimes reddish, sometimes greyish sometimes yellowish but normally just murkyish! It depends which part of north Africa it originates! We get it in varying degrees about once a year. The Canary Islands get it far worse and far more often.
