We shared the driving and hardly drank on that holiday; my girlfriend because she doesn't drink much anyway and me because I was on a programme supervised by my endocrinologist to try and reverse my high blood-sugar readings (I'm diabetic) and it worked well, although I confess that I do have the odd beer or glass of wine with a meal; I just compensate elsewhere in my diet!
