Happy accident!

Happy accident!
No idea how this happened!
Yes, I teach English. But it is Business English and often to senior execs and shirt and tie is expected. I reckon I wear a suit once a week, a shirt, tie and jacket twice a week and smart-casual (without tie) twice a week on average. The problem arises when I have classes with a young dynamic IT company then have to go to a staid bank next class. The IT crowd rib me mercilessly! I had to teach a class of designers one year and had to wear a suit for the reasons mentioned. I did receive comments (not directly, but via the academy) that my suit made one or two of the little darlings feel a bit uncomfortable! But, if that was the only complaint from an English class, I must have been teaching them satisfactorily!!! :o)

Krawatte ist für mich wie ein Strick um den Hals, der mir die Luft zum Atmen nimmt. Nur zu ganz besonderen Anlässen trage ich eine. Aber dann ist die Krawatte ganz locker gebunden.

Ha ha!

I had to wear a tie most of my working life...............and I absolutely loath them. They are uncomfortable and serve no useful purpose whatsoever! I swore that after I retired I would never wear one again.........and so far, I haven't.

The odd thing is that since I stopped working in Financial Services in the UK 9 years ago, I haven't stopped wearing the sodding things!

Thankfully I've done with all that except for weddings and funerals! Now I rarely even wear shoes. :-)

20 years ago and I had planned to retire by 50.
HA! The best laid plans of mice and men!
Now I will need to work until I drop and STILL wear the sodding things! Not my game plan at all!!

Your accidents all seem to turn out well:-) I'm glad I never had to wear such formal clothing! If they'd have expected me to wear skirt and heels I'd probably have brought a doctor's certificate that I can only wear flats...;-)

Poor you, I'm so pleased that I've retired really, no-one can tell me what to do or when to do things. I'm very independent and I love it!!!!
