The inside is lovely and like something out of the 17th century or even earlier but hard to take a photo that captures its charms, especially with my limited gear (small digital and a smartphone!).
Thank you one again, Jim and many thanks too for your extensive visit; much appreciated!

I spent over an hour in there on Monday, just having an apple cider and (later) a coffee. The weather was so foul (dark cloud and persistent drizzle all that afternoon) that it was just a way of killing time, albeit a pleasant one.

The interior hasn't changed in 100s of years, Howard.
Sorry about the weather but as we all know, Cornwall doesn't have climate, only weather!

It wasn't all bad. The day before (Sunday) it was glorious, with the finest lighting and skies I've seen anywhere -
St Ives Bay, Cornwall

But alas I wasn't anywhere that I could take good advantage of it because the walk that day was from St Ives to Carbis Bay, where there's nothing to take.

I agree. Carbis Bay is best left to screaming toddlers and their families. A pity because the walk the other way is so much more interesting!
