It does, Gudrun but this style continued some time after the Christians started building churches after the Moorish period came to an end (slowly, over a quite a few decades). The period is confusing to historians and, in all likelihood, to those who lived through it!.

Not necessarily, Wilhelm. This style continued for some time after the Christians took control of the town, possibly because the Moors were the best masons! So yes they probably built it but as a church tower and not as a minaret - at least that is the current thinking! The church is in a section of town that was built only after the Christians took control.
