Partie de pêche à Kampong-Phhnang

Kampong-Chhnang - Embarqué ce matin très tôt, sur une barcasse pour photographier le village flottant, cette image a été prise au retour. Le piroguier qui nous avait embarqués, a vite compris ce que j'attendais de lui, même s'il ne parlait pas plus de trois mots d'anglais. Dès qu'il me voyait braquer mon objectif dans une direction il mettait le cap dessus. Pour cette photo, il a littéralement tourné autour des pêcheurs. Une bonne compréhension commune qui m'a permis aujourd'hui de réaliser une bonne série. J'ai cependant regretté pour la première fois, de ne pas avoir de téléobjectif. Le zoom de mon GFX 50R, bloque à 64 mm (51 mm équivalent 24X36). J'ai fait un choix, je dois l'assumer.

Sur fond noir de préférence.

Mon cher Keith, le GFX 50R (50 MP) et le 32-65 mm (équivalent 25-51 mm en 35 mm) d'une remarquable qualité, sont pour beaucoup dans la finesse des détails. Et bien entendu la lumière participe à l'accentuation du rendu. Le choix du couple diaph-vitesse contribue aussi à ce sentiment de piqué.

Totally marvelous. The timing...it's such a fantastic freeze-frame on this story. I wish that I could see what they have in the nets! How nice that you had some help in order to get you where you needed to be for this perfect shot. The angle is exactly right of course. I'm glad this is in color, I like seeing the color of the water and sky, the creamy nets and the hodge-podge of clothing.

A floating village. That's just so different...so unique...so interesting. This sort of a life, it's so removed from my own. I have just finished reading "Paddle to the Amazon" by Don Starkell, about a 12k canoe trip from Canada to Belem, Brazil by Don and his son Dana. (I've read it 3x now over the years!) At one point on the Amazon, he too, meets a floating village just like this. Incredible. Thank you for sharing and I hope that your adventure continues to be as amazing as these pictures have shown so far! :)
