Looks more like a 20s or 30s style house.

Yes, I've seen many houses of this style. No idea what it's called, if anything!

No signwriting hints, I wonder what they did there?

Most likely groceries, or general merchandise, or hardware. Perhaps changed hands many times.

Odd to have 'showcase' windows away from a sidewalk. Would be interesting to know its history.

It was probably built before there was a sidewalk. I can picture Model Ts parked in front on dirt or gravel. The building is in pretty good shape for it's age, so I think it was still in use in recent decades. Now, it seems it is owned by a family with small kids, living in a small house in back. The whole property, except for the part you see, is covered in broken junk, toys and a few animals, with no obvious plan. The building has appeal, I think.

Would be interesting to look at an overhead view and see if there was once a street running across the front.

mmmmh, what kind of store could be successful now? Maybe nothing: today in the era of Amazon trying to trade... bodily in rural areas is a question of faith...

Food stores are still successful in rural areas, even cities. It costs too much to join Amazon Prime and order the very expensive groceries they have! Ridiculous.

Here, in our valleys the small food stores are disappearing: they can't practice the same prices as the malls next the city. It happens now a surrealistic situation because people in the valleys organize petitions to not loose the villages food stores, at the same time they waste tons of gasoline to get in the malls far away because they are cheaper. It's the paradigm of this consumerist schizophrenia .

Yes, all of that is true here, too!
