Little farm girls

Little farm girls
Children of the Daniel Kirima family. Kenya, farmland northeast of Nairobi. The building behind them is the barn for their milk cows. To the right of it (out of the shot) was a tiny hut for cooking, just a few yards from the house.

As I recall, they were just starting to warm up to me. They had changed back into their regular clothes and are sitting in front of their barn.

The kitchen, if I remember correctly (and I might not), was on the right side of that building. The left side was the barn. It was not what we would call a "decent" kitchen, but it functioned for them. I ate food from it.
