These eastern european sites will steal anything and Google lets them. ...It's one of the reasons I deleted almost all of my Panoramio photos.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Google is interested in Google, not in the copyrights of users. Strangely, I've had three local people ask permission to use a couple of photos to help them promote non-profit causes. I gave permission, then they didn't even have the courtesy to fill my request for a copy of what they were putting them in. Never heard from them again. The one above has so much noise you need earplugs, so it's not quite as annoying! : b

I found a postcard of one of my photos for sale on eBay- the seller had bought it from a secondhand dealer in a batch with others (mainly stolen photos...). That's when I decided to delete most of my photos from Panoramio and to make everything on G+ private...

I also had people asking if they cold use photos, they usually sent me links or pdf. Not reacting isn't exactly good style and makes one disinclined to give permission...Maybe you could shame them on FB;-)
