Oops, a belated thank you, Peggy! Some is sagebrush and the smaller, whispier ones are probably rabbit brush. I would have to look in person to be sure. They aren't related, by the way, but grow in the same areas. If they're in bloom, it's easy to tell the difference. Rabbit brush has big mustard yellow clusters of blossoms. Sage's are small and pale yellow, hard to notice.
