I meant this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_jay which you indeed may call "common" Jay. I'm no expert either, but these feathers are very typical for this lovely bird. I like crovidiae.

Our Robins seem to have brighter colors than the European ones. Strange how the differences show up in the different locations! Blue Jays are quite colorful but they have a bad habit of destroying the eggs of other birds (for a meal)! :(
