Looking south from near Stoer Lighthouse
Another view from this very isolated part of Scotland. A long lens here reveals the highlands around Lochinver again including the wide expanse of Suilven to the left and an area known as Coigach to the right here. Well beyond this Bay of Stoer is the nearest big town: Ullapool some 26 miles (40km) SE as the crow flies.

Enjoy full size and contrast the freedom of this sight compared with what our friends in Ukraine have today.

Thanks Gordon. This is in fact one of eight pictures I took as a wide almost 180 deg panoramic shot. That resulted in a very wide but narrow view that looks great but as I have read on my other Ipernity panoramics, they do not translate at their best on Ipernity and so not posted. Glad you saw this full, as it still looks good.

I really like this Herb............the light, especially on the surface of the water is absolutely wonderful. I love the different levels too.......the dark foreground with it's earthy colours, the water looking smooth and calm and the hazy background of the mountains etc., and the sky tops it off nicely. Everything in harmony with each other!

This definitely needs to be viewed large...............
