The Trossachs – The Duke’s Pass looking to the Ben Venue and Ben Ledi area.

The Trossachs – The Duke’s Pass looking to the Ben Venue and Ben Ledi area.
As we continue on this grand walk we see more views of the higher mountain slopes this region has to offer. We are looking northwards here. This, of course is just a small part of the giant Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.
Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is a 19,665-hectare forest park in the Scottish Highlands which extends from the eastern shores of Loch Lomond to the mountains of Strathyre. The forest park is one of six such parks in Scotland, and was established in 1953, the year of the coronation of Elizabeth II. WiKi.
Enjoy full size.

This is the last of this Trossachs adventure for the time being. I shall bring you some more in a week or so.

Wow, a stunning landscape and picture Herb. My 2nd cousin is up there at the moment with two of his teenage boys. He sent a clip of them snow sliding!! I bet they had cold bottoms!
Excellent work and I look forward to more from the region soon. Cheers, Rosa.

And another of this Duke's Pass walk to please you Rosa. It is a stunning area that needs a car and good legs to get the most from but it works for any visitor I guess. Snow sliding - they would have to be higher than we were and more adventurous too. Great that they are enjoying that area too. ~ Yes a little break from here now, but my Scottish photo's will be slowly popping up for months yet I think. Glad to have you on-board.

A wonderful landscape............full of contrasts Herb. The snow capped fells make a really majestic backdrop to the dark green trees and the brown of the trails. I love the threatening sky!

Beautifully composed and exposed..!!

That's what it is all about Keith -as you know. I do try to capture these scenes as I see them and when that goes well, with another person recognising it too, I am most happy. Quite different weather today in Oldham, as you will know too.

Herb this is a sight I have not seen for so many years, love the very dark clouds in stark contrast to the snow. It would be pleasure to be able to walk in this area.
