Thanks my friend. I never quite know whether to keep these as a select pip or make them public. As one of my viewers said "if its good enough to publish as a pip, it should be published properly" . My idea is to not to inundate 'most' of my viewers with so much from the same place. Thoughts? Herb

This is an interesting addition to the main shot Herb and gives us a bit more of an idea of the context.

Thanks Doug, I at first thought this quite inferior to the adjacent blue sly picture from the exact same spot, but I now see in it what you can see too. Light! Cheers, Herb

I love the composition here, and what a beautiful view! In regards to swamping your viewers, it is a problem we all face if ever we have too many pictures we want to post, and yet, worry that they will not be looked at, or our viewers will become bored or annoyed by too many images. I would have to agree that offering extra images in PiP version is a lovely way to share more pictures in a way that people will look at them, AND when you make them clickable, it does offer the viewer an opportunity for a closer look if they desire. :)

Thanks so much for your visit, by the way, I appreciated what you had to say very much. :)

Great to see you here again Janet and good that you are enjoying my Irish landscapes. A whole can of worms with the debate of Pips v 'real public' photos. As you say, I liked the pip idea as it did not seem to fill up one's galley with shots from/of the same place. Not sure as whether there is a real case for having adjacent photographs pip'd together and clickable too. However, it is interesting to see more comments on this than what I considered to be the main photo (adjacent) , as you may have gathered, this one, was originally a restricted photo, only view-able as a pip yet more folk have wanted to comment on this, so it seems that I took the right late decision to make this public. I can see its very personal at the end of the day.

You are doing a very good thing re Pam.

A very fine shot, as usual, Herb!
Not sure I understand the comments about a PiP and an addendum to the main shot. I see neither! Am I missing something obvious here?
As you know, I tend to post shots from 2 places, Cornwall or Central Spain. That's because ever since I resumed photography after a 25 year lay-off, I simply haven't been anywhere else!!
I only had one complaint on Pano from a rather snotty cow who complained about the same-ness of my photos and the fact that it was all rock, rock and more rock!! I gave myself the satisfaction of blocking her and now I gladly can't even remember her name! And she was English, I'm ashamed to say!

A very interesting comment from you Andy. See my reply to Janet above re my pips here.

I must admit that you reaction to your complainant made me laugh. Maybe she had a point :~) but I love your rocks which have now widened out to many city shots too. You just post the shots that you love and we will continue to soak them up Andy. - I blocked a bloke on Pano too, who kept complaining about my borders every time he visited which was quite frequent. (he then moved up to Pano emails about the same thing). We don't need such comments as that and as I was once told- "if you cannot say anything good-don't say anything at all". People just don't appreciate our 'expert' negative comments :). Yes, there is no shortage of English 'funny' folk about as we well know.

A well composed image with lovely light, Herb. I rather think the PiP issue is one for personal decisions - sometimes I add one which opens, other times several that don't. At least we can do PiPs here, I don't know of another photo site where they're possible.

Thanks for this George. Yes, a quandary of decisions brought on by the good intentions of Ipernity. I don't know any other sites that do them either. Cheers for the compliment on the photo and the your thoughts re PiPs.

Hi Herb,

Another nice scenic picture from Ireland. I must say that Like Andy, I can't see any PiPs here.
None the less this picture stands on its own.
