Its hard to believe that services were last held in here in 1595 at which time King Henry VIII dissolution of the Monasteries were enacted.

I know that there is an abundance of churches, Abbeys and the like in your country Daniela. We have quite a few ruins like this -all ruined by the hand of Henry VIII in 1595. I have never been to Lisbon, I am sorry to say.

I advise you to visit Lisbon, Herb, if you ever can once. I have been there three times. A beautiful town, not too big.

A great place that I have visited on a few occasions but I think this time was the best weather experience. Glad you liked my set here.The number of people around there gets bigger every time and the cost of Bolton Abbey parking is astronomical! ~ Herb

Glad you liked my mini tour Rosa. There is in fact much that I did not take including some other classic view points but time was short and we had a lot more walking to do.
