The Fighting Dragon of ARa NGC6188

The Fighting Dragon of ARa NGC6188
As I have been locked out by clouds and rain AND I have things to fix on the telescope I am not sure its worth doing the last shot. A panorama of 4 shot.

My heater on the secondary mirror is Dead no heat so lots of dew I find out its not a full circuit so heater never worked . As I got the heater from Europe it so much hard work trying to get a fast reply and new heater. What I found out today there is a broken wire in the right half so it was never going to work.

I have to remove the mirror and glue it down to take away the clips that hold the mirror in place to get cleaner stars so i think it best to end this image it would be best to start all over again....

800mm x3 crop factor = 2400mm it kind of says it all. It will get better the more I am use to this telescope.

Despite your technical problems a wonderful image Steve. Importing things from Europe must be a big problem for you and if it's like the UK expensive with import duty

Thank you Peter they are finer technical issues that do have a bearing on the photo mainly to the way the stars look. The result is a better photo with less time compared to the last telescope Ed80 standard time was 10 min but with this one 5 min for the shot above so it does have a very good benefit what was two night to get 120 shots is no almost one night. Its hard to get parts for these thing so in some cases it is a case of having to get from USA or Europe which is never quick.

Thank you Herb who knew now I am locked out of the skies from Rain mostly and thick clouds. I have things fixed but cant test them out to check. not necessarily a miss more a part of the learning process. A good image but I know how it can be improved which is what I have done now its wait to test out.
