Close up of the Up coming flowers

Close up of the Up coming flowers
Life on the rock in the seasons. the plant to top of flower head is 75 MM only, this is @ 600mm to get up close. From a tripod to get this close to the plant.

PIP one the rock plater

PIP two when the flower comes out only one the first year well over 50 of them this year.

PIP three in summer colour.

Special K, Sami Serola (inactive), Champland, Peter_Private_Box and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

Certainly not when you sit on them thinking they are soft and fully loaded with sharp spikes. A truly interesting plant that comes back from the dead each winter for 6 months or rain fall.

they are very small and if you think of them they are also very old but no idea of how many. have counted one larger plant with over 70 indents of older leaves.

they are quite amazing this is the second year I have them in my bonsai collection and they get treated as the wild ones. been some thing to watch there normal cycle of hibernate in summer turn orange or straw colour(no water)
Autumn ( Summer colour)

come alive in the winter rains and go green and flower.

A great 'landscape' of your bonsai plant, plus other images, Steve.

I will not claim any hand in making them only at the moment keeping them going and learning about them. The ones in the wild match mine to a "T" so i am happy about that. would love to get an idea just how old these really are
