Lovely spot miles from anywhere I though it would be interesting to show the day after the night.

As a night person I agree and the harsh landscape gets softened out quite a bit. Interesting walk around the grave stones out the back a lot of old ones and families through the years. HFF and hope you miss some of the rains.

I tend to agree but I am a little bit more bias to night here makes our landscapes look not so harsh. HFF and all the best from down under.

It sure is it suits the place in the middle on no where at 100km/H you dont see it in the trees. Many thanks HFF.

You are quite right with your thoughts about the light here. There is little for the eye on daylight, but the nightshot works like a great composition of all the different ingredients (gate, fence, chapel, stars). And the whole thing is far more than only the sum of them.
HFF Steve.

You are right and is my feeling as well but some time you have to lift the mask HFF from the west.

Hi Steve

I really like these, especially the night one.

I am always impressed by the results you get in the dark. Every time I try, there is always too much light pollution..

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend
Peter

PS, sorry for lack of visits recently, I've been away!

Hope you had a great time and we see some photos. A shot I thought was worth lifting the Vail to see the harsh reality of our landscape. HFF and all the best for your weekend.

Oops Steve, just seen here that I have not commented on this here in the HFF group. I must have been too excited when I saw it late in the night and thought that I had left a comment. Well just to say, its a fine piece by day but as so many people here, including you, say and know, pales into insignificance compared with the starry night shot. Good to see the two version though.

I wish you a belated HFF and hope that the rest of your weekend goes well. Herb

Thanks Herb you cant better a night shot but it is some times good to see the contrast in the day to give the night shot some reality. HFF and hope you get a great weekend not our wet & cold.
