Winding hole at entrance to Chirk tunnel
The 'bridge' that you can see is a rail viaduct over the Ceiriog Valley. The canal also spans the valley and it's possible to see a couple just starting to walk from Wales to England.

Chirk Aqueduct is part of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal World Heritage site, which stretches from Chirk to the Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen itself.

That's an impressive looking viaduct................I'm amazed you manage to get so much of it in the frame :-))

The winding hole makes a great foreground and catches the reflections of the trees nicely. I also like the bright colours of the daffs in the corner of the shot. Beautifully captured Amelia.

A superb perspective Amelia and the daffodils add a touch of spring. I look forward to hopefully visiting the area later this year...or maybe it will have to be next year! We will see how things go!

I think I might be on lock-down from this weekend for I don't know how long. If I can get a facelift and a full body lift I might pass for 65. ;-)))))

I've been to the hospital this morning to get a pre-cancerous growth removed. The Doctor referred me 10 days ago to the skin department. I was examined yesterday by a Macmillan nurse, and the operation was today. I have nothing but praise for our NHS.
