Moorhen nest at the boathouse

Moorhen nest at the boathouse
SORRY - I'VE BEEN HAVING LOG-IN PROBLEMS AGAIN TODAY.

The moorhen was sitting on the fence of the boathouse pier, and didn't seem perturbed by my presence. She was back on her nest as soon as we retreated about 10 metres. There weren't many visitors on that day. We informed the ground staff that the nest and eggs could be disturbed over the weekend. Apparently they were going to fence it off temporarily.later in the day.

Schussentäler, Nouchetdu38, tiabunna, Pam J and 11 other people have particularly liked this photo

The eggs look very pretty! The moorhen must have experienced little disturbance so far or she wouldn't have built the nest in this place.

Sorry for my lack of replies and visits. Since before 9 a.m. I have been unable to log-in AGAIN, and have only just been able to get going a few minutes ago.

When I log out of Ipernity I may not be able to get back in again - so frustrating!
