Sherborne New Castle
i CAN NOW LOG IN TO iPERNITY AGAIN BUT IT TAKES MUCH LONGER NOW, AS i HAVE TO SIGN IN EVERY TIME WITH A COMPLEX PASSWORD. i CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE PASSWORD ISN'T REMEMBERED EACH TIME. Sherborne Castle is a 16th-century Tudor mansion southeast of Sherborne in Dorset, England. The 1,200-acre (490 ha) park formed only a small part of the 15,000-acre (61 km2) Digby estate.

I couldn't really work out what this creamy white reflection was until we got closer. I have never seen such long chains of wisteria.
Sherborne Old Castle. Clairevoie
Apparently Sir Walter Raleigh liked this view of the Old Castle, which at that time was not in ruins, so he kept this view clear, hence the name..
This folly was built in the mid-18th century as part of a scheme to beautify the ruins of the Old Castle. The archives report that a local builder was paid £22 for building this folly, by Lord Digby who owned the New Castle..

Moorhen nest at the boathouse
SORRY - I'VE BEEN HAVING LOG-IN PROBLEMS AGAIN TODAY. The moorhen was sitting on the fence of the boathouse pier, and didn't seem perturbed by my presence. She was back on her nest as soon as we retreated about 10 metres. There weren't many visitors on that day. We informed the ground staff that the nest and eggs could be disturbed over the weekend. Apparently they were going to fence it off temporarily.later in the day.
