Many thanks, Doug. Funnily enough we haven't walked this part of the canal before. The weather was glorious. and it was a case of, "Let's see what's round the next corner".

How is the bridge done? Is it flying?

If you look at the previous photo, you can see that the bridge does cross over to the other bank of the canal, Dany. ;-)

I like your PoV here - and the shadows! A purely pedestrian bridge obviously which involves a bit of up and down:-)

I just wonder who uses it, Gudrun. Maybe the farmer does, for the transfer of livestock from one field to another across the canal - I don't know.

Nice light, an interesting subject and well composed. I especially like the way the trees seem to form an arch at the end of the bridge.

Interesting place, Amelia. We love the canals in the midlands when we were last there and wanted to take a holiday on a canal boat. Obviously this one hasn't been maintained.

It is wroth hiring a narrow boat here, Ron. The canal is Navigable all the way through to Wales, and you would would have the amazing experience of crossing over the The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a WHS, The countryside is beautiful too. Worth a go i would say. ;-)
