Well when she arrived she brought in my mail and look what arrived............ okay I'd ordered it, but had forgotten about it!!!!!
It's my new ring - it's gorgeous. The stone is a sort of milky blue "moonstone" kind of stone and the setting is sterling silver. So pretty...................
Then we went to the Post Office to collect a parcel that had been sent to me while I was out, but had required a signature so was taken away again to await collection at the main Post Office. I waited patiently in line there, but there were some people who weren't so keen on waiting, so jumped the queue and actually got served before the rest of us, which didn't sit too kindly on us!!! Although being British (!!!!) we didn't say anything - silly s*ds that we are!!!
Anyway the parcel was the rest of the material I'd ordered for my next project!! - I wanted a nice bright and breezy coloured quilt - so what do you think of the colours eh?...............
After we'd been out shopping to Asda (for a change - not!!) we came home and sat in the sun in the garden - boy was I leaking!! It was so hot and very humid. Lovely - don't get me wrong, but I was very tired after having been shopping two days in a row. Anyway I took some pictures of the flowers, the ones which had attracted bees and butterflies - but they didn't turn out - oh well - c'est la vie!!! I did get this picture of the nasturtiums............
Then we came indoors and Pippin had decided to spread himself all over the couch. So greedy, that Mandi had to squeeze in so as not to disturb him! He carried on spread out totally - very inelegant............
Then Mandi had a quiet moment with him - and he seemed to like this.......
Didn't want to spoil the moment!! LOL
Well she's gone back now to her home, and I'm still trying to get over the last couple of days.
Tomorrow I'm going to have my hair cut, so that's another day doing something - then after that it's the weekend and a "do nothing" time for me. I'll watch the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix on Saturday and Sunday which will be enough excitment for me - I may even start my new quilt!!
Mandi does look a picture doesn't she?
I like the colours of the cloth by the way, very bright and cherry
Your cat is so beautiful.
I'd definitely have said something to the queue jumper! That's not on.
Pretty ring.
Nice colours for your next project.
Very nice ring.
Line jumpers need a good hard kick in the Butt
I'm also looking forward to Belgium, and on Monday I'm booked in for a bit of Ear lowering.
Have a great day.
