Well this morning, I was awake early (for me that is) - it was just before 7.30am which is "silly o'clock" to me. I had to do a quick dash to the "little girl's room" as I tend to have to do most nights, but on my way back into my bedroom, I noticed how beautiful the trees outside were looking with the early morning sun shining on them. So instead of being sensible and going back to bed to finish my sleep, I did what any fan of photography would do - I took some pictures!!!!!
As you can see it looked so lovely to me. I then noticed I had a watcher!!!.....
Pippin probably couldn't believe what I was doing at that time of the morning. So he came in to see me, it was a bit of a squeeze at the beginning for him....
Anyway after I'd said hello to him and had taken enough pictures for me, I went back to bed and had another hour's sleep. It's lovely being retired - I can get up at whatever time I like, do whatever I like, whenever I like - total bliss!!!
While I was making breakfast and having the back door open to get a bit of a breeze through the house, I noticed a visitor....
Apparently he's called Noodles!!! Can you imagine walking about calling out "Noodles! Noodles!" - I can imagine the looks!!! Mind you I do call out "Pippin" but that doesn't sound as bad as Noodles!
A couple of days ago, we had a quick shower - didn't last long but it was really needed by the garden. I didn't mind so much as I hadn't intended on going anywhere and when the rain stopped and the sun came out, I noticed these little diamonds on the window...
They're lovely aren't they? Well I've also been feeding the indoor plants, but with the amount of sun and warmth we've been experiencing lately - they've gone haywire!! Especially the hoya, it really loves being in the middle of the bay window, able to capture the sun all day ......
I don't remember there ever being so many bunches of flowers on it at any one time. It's been flowering for months now, so it's a brilliant house plant to have, with these beautiful flowers showing off.
Anyway this last few days I've spent doing lots of sewing, well the cutting of the material took up to two days alone, then it was almost half a day deciding on what pattern I was going to do. You see I've decided that I'm going to make another quilted throw. I do enjoy making these quilts. I think it might just look bright enough, but very colourful. I might just keep it too!!!!
These are the first three blocks I've made with lots of different other colours being done tomorrow hopefully....
See what I mean about colourful - I've just got to work out the pattern I'm going to put them in. I'm not following any pattern really - just letting it come to me as I quilt.
Well that's about all I have to talk about folks, I find this hot weather not easy for me to be outside, so rather than get overheated and out of breath, I stay indoors and work hard. It's strange that some people are amazed that I'm never bored. It's true that I'm not - I've got too many ideas running through my brain, at the moment, my quilting part of my brain is winning, then there's making jewellry, photography and of course writing to you lot. How can I ever be bored?
I wish you all a very happy week to come.
Oh I've certainly been honoured these last 24 hours!!!

The only time I ever slept that late was when I was a shift worker lol. I go to bed quite early mainly because I can't stay awake any longer after neighbours, and the previous one too, waking me in the early hours.
The quilt should be lovely and colourful. Looks good so far.
You have a happy week too.
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Bee OrchidI've done some more sewing today and it's really colourful. I'm undecided whether I do other colours or keep the ones I've already done. Decisions, decisions!!! Thanks for the lovely comment.
I do like the quilt pieces. Especially the bottom two. I have to look and see if I can get a hoya here. Can't say if I've seen them here. Enjoy your quilting. The weather will cool very soon.

Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Janet Brien clubJenny McIntyre club has replied to Elbertinum clubI love your quilt blocks, the pattern you chose is so pretty! I have always loved quilts and wanted to make one for along time. I did make one in my life and gave it to my mother-in-law. I have all the ingredients for at least one quilt, so I'd better get crackin'! ;-)
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to ValfalThank you for your lovely comments on my quilt blocks, I'm pleased with the colours too - it took a while sorting out the centre colour, and because I had the bright pink and the black as the common colours, the lime green sort of made the "jazzy" look. I find it so relaxing and it helps me relax when I can't get out and about.
