I'm sorry I've been so lax in writing here lately - but I'm busy making presents for Christmas and I've been trying new skills.

I'm making tote bags for my neighbours - well the female ones!!! - I've never made bags before - so this is a new venture for me - I've almost finished one and that's looking okay - so only 2 more!!!!

At the same time, I'm making resin jewellry.... I saw a tutorial the other day and I thought I'd have a go. I tried out by putting some glitter in the resin and then swirled some nail varnish in it to add some colour......

I haven't decided who's having which design. I'll probably put them in the same type of wrapping and just give them, without knowing which one I was giving them!!!

These shapes above have all been added onto their own silver chains, but if I had to choose, then the style below this is my favourite....

I just like the large hole in the middle. I've started to make another lot, this time with tiny flowers in and tiny ferns. As I only did them this evening, it takes 3 days for the resin to fully set, so I haven't looked at them properly yet - it's all crossed fingers.

When I finish my bags, I'll show you. It's my way of saying thanks for everything they do for me. I've got them wine and a rather unusual 15-in-1 tool for the men, but the bags and jewellry for the women are all handmade.

I thoroughly enjoy making things, as you know - the little chick and large frog are for the grandchild of my neighbours Ann and Peter. I was going to make some for my grandchildren, but apparently they're "too old" for these kind of toys. Fair enough - but that won't stop me from making them. I'll just have to think of who to give them to that's all.

I hope you all here have a wonderful week and when the big day arrives, I wish you all a fantastic festive season.
