Well last year I got these house plants with flowers in a sale - I think they were about £1 each/$1.3 which was brilliant. Well the flowers lasted ages and I was really chuffed, but certainly didn't expect them to re-flower this year and they have!!!!
I am so pleased to have some colour in the bay window. In the kitchen there are also flowering plants. I had an amaryllis bulb with compost in a box for Christmas and this is the result...
As you can see - it won't be long before I have a magnificant flower gracing my table. I also had a lovely pressie for my birthday - a pot with hyacinth bulbs in it. Well they've flowered too and there is a very heady scent in there. They are almost over though which is a shame, still next year I will have some again, but I am considering putting them in large pots....
I hope it won't be long before this awful wind and rain decide to leave our shores and let us have some warmth.
As you know, my Mandi is here for a couple of weeks and she is cooking me some great meals - wow it's so nice having meals cooked for me. Just before she left Turkey, she was driving around in her area close on the end of a day and she saw these two beautiful views. One was of the sun just going down and it was reflecting on the sea, as well as a yacht with its lights on, also reflecting on the water..... I just love this picture.........
Then she saw a galleon with all its lights on. There are lots of these galleons around as they are hired by individuals for weeks or weekends. This is yet another gorgeous sight.....
This is such a beautiful sight, I felt I just had to share it with you. Well today one of her friends drov over to see her, they've known each other for over 36 years!! Tomorrow, it's time for my car to be fixed - I've left a message with Richard next door to see if he can fit the new fan belt for me. Then on Wednesday I'm having my new freezer delivered!! Oh it should be great.
Okay folks, I'm off now, I'm really tired. Will try and call in again soon.
Yes it would be nice here too if we had warmer weather so that flowers would open.
Have fun.

I have blue crocuses coming up in pots in the back garden which is nice, and bluebells that were scattered from an old pot (not wild ones!) gracing the front garden. Hoping they'll flower this year.
Have a great time, and I hope the car isn't too expensive.
