Well yesterday dawned lovely and bright and it was such a good feeling to see sunshine as soon as I woke up, that I decided to put it to good use. So as soon as I'd had my breakfast, well a while after to be honest - I went out into the garden and cut the grass.

Now those of you who know me, it takes me a while to do something like that - what with the stop, start, stop, start process. I sat on a plastic chair for some of it, it's surprising how it is possible to cut the lawn with a hover mower whilst sitting down on a chair......... anyway, at long last it was cut and I was so pleased with myself, that I just sat there on the bench in the sun and heaved a sigh of relief and pleasure..........

The anemones are bountiful

The anemones are really bountiful this year - huge clumps of them are everywhere and I just love their delicate colouring and they are so pretty - sorry I get carried away taking pictures of them... as you can see the sky was lovely and clear.

Of course Boo had to be there to help me - Pippin shoots off at the sound of the shed door being opened, let alone the sound of a hover mower, whereas Boo doesn't give a fig. She just sat there on the grass and only moved when the mower went close to her and she was covered with bits of cut grass, then she only sidled to where I'd already been - she's one strange cat.

While I was sitting there I could see the amount of apples on the tree. Oh I can see loads of apple pies and crumbles on their way, so I'll have to start picking them, I think they're ready now......

So I came in and knew I could relax knowing that it was done - well until next week anyway........
