Amazing place , incredible team
9 hours of surgery and 2days asleep , will keep you posted when more settled.

Update. Unexpected complications meant my heart had to be moved to complete the surgery. It's back in place now but is protesting and pretty strong pain relief is leaving me confused and delirious. Pretty good for photography but dangerous to find out where the delusions take you. When my eyes are open i am in the real world, close your eyes and immediately transported somewhere else. Similar happenings can be found with opium users.
Doctors are reducing my drugs daily and slowly recovery is under way
Doctors say they think they have got all the cancer out but waiting for lab results and mop up therapy and aiming for new year discharge from hospital

New update, released from Icu and now in a general surgery ward.

Update 23 Dec latest video shows where the esophagus has been joined to the lower intestine to be clean, dry and free of leakage.
Talk is now about getting me home.
UPDATE 27th. Dec.
Home at last,, with most of the criteria for hospital discharge met I now start the final stages of my adventure towards recovery. There are issues of heart to resolve though I am told the blood supply in the vessels through the heart are excellent. I have started to eat normal soft foods and so will have the nasal gastric line feed removed as soon as I show signs of putting back some of the weight loss. I continue to do light exercise to improve breathing.
