Mandi had to collect her prescription and as we were already half way to the beach we thought it a good idea to just go there while we had to wait for the prescription to be done. They said it would take at least half an hour so off we went. The burrows where we usually go was manned at the entrance and a man was sitting there ready to collect the money for visitors. They were asking £3.50 [$5 approx] per car !!! No way were we going to pay that. So we ended up at West Appledore............

This is a terrace of houses there and they face the sea. In the 1970's my ex-husband and I almost bought one. He was promoted and we ended up going to near London, so the chance went by. Can you imagine how gorgeous it would have been to have this view every day..........

There was also a house there that used to be the Coastguard's Cottage but has since been bought up and renovated - and how...................

Look at all those windows and balconies - the sunsets they must see from there..... wow.

There were loads of small rockpools..........

And some not so nice rockpools........

The off-shore lifeboat was quietly moored in the channel, just ready for when it's needed.......

Whilst Mickey was sunning himself today - this is what we had. Overcast skies with bigger white clouds... still he'll be getting thunder and lightning whilst we won't - well according to the weather forecasters.

Well we got back to the Pharmacist and they couldn't do it because they don't stock the cream Mandi needed. They suggested she went all the way back to her doctor and ask for a different one!!! Are they out of their mind? So we went to another Pharmacy and they said the same thing but suggested she ring her doctor and get her to fax them a new prescription. That was a much better suggestion, but by this time Mandi was quite het up and anxious. We thanked them and came home. Mandi rang up her doctor and they immediately faxed the prescription to the Pharmacy and she'll collect her cream tomorrow. Sorted..........
