On the River Frome ~ Wareham

Gorgeous images Rosa. It looks like you had a lovely day for your outing. How pretty it is there, - I love all the beautiful flowers in the main image. I had not realised you took a boat out. That must have been fun. The only time I tried steering was on the Norfolk Broads years ago, and Roger had to help out to stop me hitting the bank!!!!!

Thank you Carol. For a small town Wareham has a lot to offer. We didn't have time to visit, but the small church with the effigy of Lawrence of Arabia is very interesting. We started off by just going round and round....I'm sure the people on the bridge were having a good laugh ;-)) It was my eldest daughter's special birthday, so she chose where to go.

Oooh, a boat trip sounds lovely..............and what a great way to get a different perspective on the area!

I I love the way you've composed the main image...........with those impressive boats front and centre and all the plants, flowers and trees are beautiful. A nice sky and lovely light too.

The building in the first PiP looks very impressive with that huge tower complete with battlements. I'm guessing it's a hotel or restaurant now, given the amount of tables and parasols outside and the private mooring.

I really like the second PiP which seems to be taken from the opposite direction to the main image. The sky is amazing!

The tower is from a church and there is a road between it and the Hotel. They look very close together in the pic. Both are beautiful buildings though.

Yes, you are right concerning the 2nd PiP. The main shot was taken on the way out and the PiP on the way back.

It was a great day with both daughters and families. It was a special birthday for my eldest....makes me feel old :-/
