This blue kiosk is very elegant, and the style and colour of this sculpture blends in nicely with its surroundings - where, indeed, you can sit quietly and enjoy the fresh air ; and (is this the case?) listening to music...

La talla de madera parece hecha sobre el mismo árbol y en el tríptico se ve bonito el quiosco de música, con buen color azul. De ese mismo estilo hay en varios pueblos de por aquí.

A collage is the perfect way to present this- the traditional bandstand and the more modern sculpture! I needed a closer look to see the birds, from a distance the photo on the right reminded me of a lady holding something in her hands,-)

That reminds me of Hitchcock's "The Birds", just the bandstand was missing in that movie...or was there one? If so, then I don't remember ;-)

It is so long ago that I saw that film Edna! I only remember the birds ;-))
It is a sunny weekend....hooray! I hope the same for you!!

And I even was there in Bodega Head where they filmed it. Much later though, that was in the 1990ies when I lived in California (Sacramento, which is, for US standards, not that far away from Bodega Head/Bay). It sure is a wild and beautiful coastline and I can see why they chose that locations for the film.

A beautifully put together collage Rosa. I love that beautiful wooden statue........and viewed large the detail and shapes in the wood are amazing!

A gorgeous little bandstand too.........I like the bunting and the weather vane.

All three shots have lovely trees in the background.

The wooden statue was very impressive and the first time I have seen it. The bandstand has been very well used over the years, mostly by the local brass bands and even The Yetties....remember them!?
