Me too Joe. Just around the corner is an independent record shop called Raves from the Grave, where my brother spends far too much :-)

Very pleased to see it. One of the saddest aspects of British life before I went to live and work in Spain in 2009 was the demise of almost the entire independent bookshop sector. I revelled in the thriving independant book shop market in Madrid. Like how it was in the UK 30-40 years ago.

We must be lucky around here then Andy, as the surrounding small towns of Castle Cary, Bruton, Shaftesbury & Frome all have one. Shaftesbury also has an excellent Oxfam book shop.

The big shops always take over in larger towns unfortunately Roger, but all the small towns that surround me have a good independent book shop. I hope they can keep going. I know some also sell online. Many thanks for your kind comment.

Nice..........I could also spend a lot of time and money in a place like this. It's good to see small independent shops are still surviving. We all need to support them when we can.

What a nice and cozy bookshop, Rosa. It would be fun browsing around in that shop. They seem to sell paintings there as well?

It was quite cosy Edna. It did extend a long way back though.
There were a few paintings inside, but lots and lots of books ;-)
