Showers in Shrewsbury ~ 3

Showers in Shrewsbury ~ 3
Shrewsbury Arts and Crafts, Windsor Place. This was Scrooge's office in the 1984 film of 'A Christmas Carol' with George C Scott. It was almost entirely filmed in the town.

Easy to see why it was picked for the movie...........it has a Dickensian look to it. I really like these old half-timbered buildings. Very nicely captured Rosa.

A few years ago we did the guided tour of all the film locations, and the guide was very good and told us a lot of behind the scene stories. It was worth more than the £8 it cost :)
The last time we visited this building was a tattoo parlour, so we were pleased to be able to see inside this time.

Interesting notes Rosa, I learn something new every day! Like the contrast between the redbrick buildings on the left separated from the half-timbered architecture on the right by the road leading away into the depth of the picture. Great work!

All the best, Doug

The furthest building was also used in the film Doug, as the Corn Exchange. I have been coming to Shrewsbury for many years now, and still have problems finding the way back to our B&B...so many little nooks and side roads. Thank you for your kind comments on all three shots.

Best wishes, Rosa.

Hi Rosa

Looks like you had a great time there, despite the rain!!
I do like the inclusion of the young lady in pink....!

Best Wishes, and a good week to come.
