Wonderful macro here Keith. That is why the agri-food industry values ladybugs. It's the only insect I appreciate, along with bees.
Best wishes, Anton.

Auf geht's an die Futterquelle! Die Blattläuse schauen schon ganz ängstlich. Aber sie werden nicht entkommen! ;-))

Apparently a single adult ladybird can eat up to 50 to 60 aphids per day. This one seemed to be doing its very best..!!

Thanks for dropping in Frank!

I could do with some ladybirds to eat the greenfly on our roses. A mighty nice capture here from you. Well done.

Best Wishes. Herb

Wow! this is an awesome macro and good to see the ladybird is doing its job, do you remember the invasion of the ladybirds in the hot summer of 1976? there were loads of them.
Anyhow brilliant shot sir

Thank you kind sir.......such lovely comments as always. The poppy was actually growing at the edge of our road by the kerb. I got a few funny looks kneeling down in the road to get the photo.......and then trying to get back up again gracefully :-)))

I remember reading about the "invasion of ladybirds" somewhere, but I can't remember it personally.........that said I was probably away at sea somewhere!
