The view from a Railway Bridge
This is the view from a railway bridge about 2 miles or so from where I live.
I pretty much gave up trying to visit your photos and leave comments etc, yesterday, after trying on and off for hours. This has just taken me nearly 10 minutes to load, so I'm not hopeful for today either :-(

Keith Burton club has replied to Jean-Paul clubAs far as I know all railways in the UK use standard gauge (4 ft 8,5 in / 1435 mm), apart from a very few exceptions i.e. privately owned railways/legacy lines.
What you may be seeing is the "third rail" which is the electrified one that powers the rails. You can also see on the right some new rails which have not yet been fitted, which are lying between the in use rails until they can be swapped out.
Keith Burton club has replied to Marije Aguillo clubKeith Burton club has replied to Fred Fouarge clubThe only rail link we have here on the island is from Shanklin to Ryde which is only a few miles, however we do have a steam railway at Havenstreet which is a tourist attraction
Keith Burton club has replied to James clubIs the Shanklin to Ryde line still using the old underground carriages?
