Worthing Beach & Sea Front
As viewed from Worthing Pier. Such a glorious sunny, warm day! The water must have been cold though, as there were very few people swimming ;-)
Better viewed large if you have time. Thanks for looking!

Keith Burton club has replied to Gudrun clubKeith Burton club has replied to James clubWhat is the function of these dividers on the beach, Keith?
Keith Burton club has replied to J.Garcia clubThe "dividers" are called Groynes.......these one are made of wood. They are rigid structures built from the shore into the sea to interrupt water motion and sediment movement. They basically stop the wind and tides moving the sediment, sand and pebbles around and prevent the deterioration of the beach.
Best Wishes. Herb
