Waiting to be Used

Waiting to be Used
I got these some time ago and they've been sitting in my desk drawer, together with the handle, just waiting to be used. I don't know why I bought them as I rarely attempt any do-it-yourself jobs, basically because I'm pretty inept at that sort of thing.

Still, I think they make a pretty good photographic subject!

ROL/Photo, trester88, Berny, Jean Paul Capdeville and 15 other people have particularly liked this photo

(lol).
Hartelijke groeten, Frans.

Thanks for the advice Frans...........but I don't buy any furniture unless it comes fully built unless the the seller delivers and builds it.

I know this is not one of my sets, as none are missing! Yours do look pristine but hey they make an interesting subject which you have captured perfectly as always Keith,
Just sitting and peering out at the snow, probably the heaviest fall we have had for years.

Always handy to have in the drawer Keith. I have some similar, but not quite as smart looking as yours, which make a striking picture. Very good indeed!

I seem to have an awful lot of stuff I've kept just because it might come in handy one day, which is why we're in the drawn out process of getting rid of it all.........mainly to the charity shops where we live.

I'm pleased you like the picture though..........thank you very much as always.

A good kit. I have this as well and many years ago used them a little. I always fail to remember that I have them as I try to unscrew a fitting by hand.

I have a Leatherman multi tool, which suffices for the very little DIY I attempt Colin. It that doesn't work I get someone in. My contribution to the local economy :-))

I seem to be like you Keith. I buy things that I think would be very handy, yet years later they're still sitting there unused. I have those things only on a circular metal thing. They're very handy as you can put them in your pocket, as you don't have to have a handle for them. As I can't do a lot of things, I have to ask nicely if someone else can help me. I have all the tools they'd need, I just don't know how to use them!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one Jenny. We can only hope that our need for DIY work comes round infrequently and that there will always be someone around to call upon for help :-)

A lovely crisp photo, Keith. I've just looked in my desk drawer to make sure you hadn't nicked my set. No, still there untouched after five years ... but the flipping handle to operate 'em has disappeared.

Thank you kind sir...............I'm pleased you liked this one.

They're definitely mine (and if they're not, I bought them in the pub and didn't know they were nicked) :-)))

The lack of a handle is a shame............do you want to buy one?

It seems it was lucky that you had exactly the right size..............I would have taken it to the garden equipment repair shop..!!

I wish I were good at DIY, but that's the way it is..............and being Sagittarius won't make it any different :-))
