Diese Insekten sind gelb gefärbt und tragen auf Kopf, Brust und Hinterleib schwarze Zeichnungen. Die Flügel sind transparent ohne dunkle Flecken,an der Thoraxseite befindet sich bei dieser Art eine schwarze, hufeisenförmige Zeichnung,man sieht sie gerne von April bis Juli an Waldrändern und ernähren sich von Nektar!
