I would tend to agree with your suggestion of Cedar.......... it's certainly very impressive..!!

In fact all the trees are lovely, with some nice hints of autumnal colour beginning to show. The sky and light are beautiful too. Very nicely captured Roger..!!

I THINK RED CEDAR !! THERE ARE A ZILLION ACRES OF THEM IN OKLAHOMA !. THEY COME IN ALL SIZES THAT IS A VERYYYY BIG ONE I HAVE SEVERAL CONSIDERABLY SMALLER IN MY 2 WILD ACRES. HERE IN THIS PART OF THE CENTRAL PLAINS IS BLACK OAK COUNTRY. THEY WEN THEY CO0ME DOWN OR DIE ARE AS HARD AS EBONY. WREAKS CHAINSAWS !

It is really great!
I think it is cedar of Lebanon and native to the mountains of the Eastern Mediterranean basin. We have many cedar also here.
