Slow Water Day!

Slow Water Day!
Typical midsummer low water flow through The Clachan Burn which flows across and splits the beach before it flows into Farr Bay, Sutherland,

The bridge is the access to the larger section of beach! and the gate hanging below the bridge is one of what was a pair to stop cattle walking down through the burn to freedom,

At the very top of the UK mainland and another stop on the "North Coast 500 Road"

HFF and a good weekend, shot in 16.9 so a large view appreciated, Ta

Hi Roger
A wonderful and interesting picture, which I like very much!
Very nice composition
Reminds me of a little bridge I came across on a path up Ben Nevis. It was easier to walk through the water as it was only inches deep that day!
Best Wishes, (very late) HFF, a nice week ahead, and stay safe!!

Many thanks Peter, we managed to cross the burn on the beach with only one damp foot between us ;-)

Great landscape! It's the dry season for most of the stones in the foreground.

Thank you Dimas, heavy rain on the high ground causes a rapid run off and then the ability of the burn to carry excess water is essential!
