A pleasant mid-February afternoon at Burnham on Sea on the Somerset coast, The low tide has emptied Bridgwater Bay leaving the sandy 7-mile beaches to the dog walkers and sand castle builders.
The image also features Britain's shortest pier, built in 1911 at just 100ft (ca. 30 metres) long.
Shot in 16.9 format, so a large view please,,,,,,, HFF and a great weekend to all!

Very nice composition, especially the guy in red on the steps. At first I thought it was a robin sitting on the fence, then when I looked big, I could see different. Well timed!
Great colours too
Best Wishes, (very late) HFF, a nice week ahead, and stay safe!!

Roger (Grisly) club has replied to Boarischa Krautmo clubAnd the baby-pier is lovely indeed.
Maybe the builders didn't reckon with that coast-fortifying walls and hoped, the coastline would move inland by and by, letting the pier grow ...
Well, just an idea. ;-)
