Falkirk Wheel (4 pips)

The boat in the main images has just been raised 24 metres (79 ft), on the Falkirk Wheel boat lift,
A series of three pips show progress as One boat is lowered and One raised, in all three images the waterproof plate that keeps the tray full of water can be seen, Once the wheel has reached the top and has been locked in place the plate is lowered and water levels equalised,
The fourth pip is a previously posted image with a longer view of the boat lift,

You could easily imagine that this structure was.built with photographers in mind...........what an amazing perspective and view.

I love the way the reflections turn the arches into circles, which get smaller as they go along the waterway. Glorious sunshine and beautiful colours too.

A beautiful little series in the PiPs......................in the third PiP, with the people watching, it looks like some mad Victorian fairground ride :-))
